Krasi Balakov: I have been a CSKA fan since I remember!

The star of the native football and Sporting Lisbon Krasimir Balakov said he was a big fan of CSKA since childhood! That is why there was no option to play for the eternal enemy Levski during his career in Bulgaria. Here’s what Balakov told BLIZ:

“I have been a CSKA fan since I remember. My soul has always been “red”. Barca had a real offer when I was playing at Sporting Lisbon. The struggle was between me and Hadji. We were identical soccer players with the Romanian legend. Everything was on the balance until the last minute. Finally, Barcelona’s bosses chose Hadji, mostly because of the transfer amount. Just out of Sporting demanded more money for me, so it was possible for Stoichkov to be teammates at Camp Nou. ”

“It is an honor and a pleasure to participate in the upcoming match. I applaud the whole idea. Such causes in Bulgaria are not a practice, but I believe that they are yet to gain popularity. The duel is an example that we are part of Europe. I hope that the stadium will be filled and that there will be a magnificent atmosphere similar to the one that was a year ago at the 50th anniversary of my very good friend, Hristo Stoichkov. I will play with pleasure to entertain myself and especially the fans who will be on the stands. ”

“The truth is that if I had stayed at Chernomoretz as a coach and we had the financial support of Sabev, which was at the beginning, we would have been more than Ludogorets. The project was launched in late 2008 and was unique and unprecedented for Bulgaria. We also had a second team – Pomorie where the coach was Petar Hubchev. There were young and very promising footballers who in 2010 reached the final of the Cup of Bulgaria and for a little to win against Beroe. They were in our concept. They had to enter the first team. We thought big and far-sighted. But then things did not develop, not by our fault. And today Chernomoretz would have been what is Ludogorets of Domuschiev and what Grisha Ganchev does and will do in CSKA. ”
